Bull Run Middle School Welcomes New Staff to Leadership Team

Bull Run Middle School Welcomes New Assistant Principal and School Counseling Director

On July 22nd, Steve Williams assumed the role of Bull Run Middle School's new Assistant Principal and Jane Prince started as the new School Counseling Director.  We are very happy and excited to have Mr. Williams and Mrs. Prince join the Leadership Team at Bull Run Middle School.

Mr. Williams has been a member of the Bull Run Middle School Staff since the school opened in 2002 and has worked in the role as a special education teacher, special education department chair and Teacher on Administrative Assignment.  He has 19 years of experience as a teacher and teacher leader.   Mr. Williams holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Sociology and Anthropology, Masters of Arts is Special Education and an endorsement in Educational Administration and Supervision.   We are very excited that he will be continuing at our school in a leadership role.

Mrs. Prince has been a teacher/counselor in Kentucky for 28 years She began her career as an elementary teacher and coached high school swimming and tennis. Soon after attaining a Master’s degree in Counseling, she accepted a position as an elementary school counselor.   During the course of her Kentucky career, Mrs. Prince has also served as a middle school and high school counselor.  Most recently she was employed as a Director of School Counseling at Owensboro High School and has worked with high school students for the last 16 years.
As Mrs. Prince takes on a new role at Bull Run Middle School, her overall perspective of school counseling encompasses K-12 which will provide a unique experience for our middle school students' educational opportunities.  With her experience as a counselor including elementary, middle and high school exposure, she has a good understanding of the transition of a 5th grader to middle school, but also the transition of an 8th grader to high school. Her experience with all age students allows a better understanding of the role of a middle school counselor and the importance of a student’s “middle” years.  We are very excited to have Ms. Prince join the leadership team at Bull Run Middle School.
